Starting early Saturday morning at approx. 0703, Ambulance 109 and PA518 where alert to a residence for an overdose patient. Prior to the arrival of the responding units, 911 advised responders that the patient had stopped breathing. Squad 10 and several additional EMS units where alerted and responded to the scene for assistance. Patient was quickly assessed and transported to the hospital for treatment. Not long after returning to quarters, Ambulance 109 was alerted to assist PA518 in the LaPlata area with the bariatric stretcher. Mean while, units through out the county where handle other emergency calls. The station was then alerted to proceed to the Waldorf area to help cover while units from Waldorf operated on a working Chimney fire. While en-route, communications directed Engine 101 to respond to assist with 109 and the bariatric stretcher. Shortly there after, Engine 101 cleared the calls and returned to quarters. Just before noon, the engine company was alerted to respond with units from LaPlata Company 1 for an excavator on fire at a construction site. Engine 101 responded with 3 personnel. Units from LaPlata arrived on location and where able to handle the incident themselves. E101 remained in the LaPlata area for a short time to cover for LaPlata Company 1 while they handled there incident. Units went in quarters at 1230.
