June 28, 2015

At 1730 hours, Rescue Squad 10 and Chief 10B responded to Crain Highway at Johnny Boy's Ribs for the Vehicle Into A Building. First arriving Chief 1, found a vehicle that had veered off the roadway and into the grassy area next to the building. Upon further investigation, it was found that the vehicle had struck the valve for the underground propane tank. Crews switched their operational plan to a gas leak response. This brought Foam Tanker 10 to the scene as well. Crews worked for over an hour attempting to isolate and mitigate the gas leak. Suburban Propane and Southern Maryland Oil companies arrived on scene and secured the leak. Units picked up and were in service just after 1900 hours. Chief 1 had the Command.

Units: Rescue Squad 10, Foam Tanker 10, Chief 10B
